Background
Brian was called to the Bar in 2025 and joined Chambers after completing the Legal Trainee Scheme at the Department of Justice. He has served as a pupil to Mr Martin Hui SC and Mr Christopher Chain SC, and as a marshal to The Hon Mr Justice Kwok and Recorder Mr Martin Hui SC. He has conducted numerous trials as a sole advocate and has been substantively involved in general criminal, civil, and public law matters.
Brian read law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and completed academic exchanges at the University of Cambridge and the National University of Singapore. During his studies, he received a string of scholarships and awards for his academic excellence and advocacy skills, including the Hong Kong Bar Association Prize for Trial Advocacy, the Dr Lily Fenn Prize for Legal Technologies, and the Dean’s List Award.
Brian is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and has experience in drafting legal documents in both English and Chinese. He is developing a broad criminal and civil practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
