Background
Brian joined Chambers after completing the Legal Trainee Scheme at the Department of Justice. He served as a pupil to Mr Martin Hui SC and Mr Christopher Chain SC, and as a marshal to The Hon Mr Justice Kwok and Recorder Mr Martin Hui SC. He has been involved in various trials and appeals in general civil, commercial, criminal and public law matters, both as sole advocate and as junior.
Brian read law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and completed academic exchanges at the University of Cambridge and the National University of Singapore. During his studies, he received a string of scholarships and awards for his academic excellence and advocacy skills, including the Hong Kong Bar Association Prize for Trial Advocacy, the Dr Lily Fenn Prize for Legal Technologies, the Dean's List Award, and various mooting awards.
Brian is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, and has experience in drafting legal documents in both English and Chinese. He is developing a broad criminal and civil practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
